Program Description: This program is a webinar “Health Information Technology” presented as a recorded lecture. It begins with 50-minutes of lecture followed by 10-minutes of questions and answers.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion, participants should be able to: • Familiarize yourself with technology used in the medical field • Understand the core functionalities of EHR (electronic health records) • Understand the primary and secondary uses for EHR and its benefits • Understand the overall pros and cons to technology in the medical field

Instructions: Instructions on how to view the recorded webinar will be sent directly via email upon confirmation of registration. This will include step by step instructions.

The recording of the live webinar is presented in video format with informative slides and narration by the course director Allison L. Weathers, MD. Controls for pausing, forwarding and reversing through the presentation are presented at the bottom of the screen.

Before the webinar, participants will be required to submit a pre-test.

Following the webinar, participants will be required to submit a post-test and brief evaluation of the event.
