Program Description: This program is a webinar “Introduction to Public Policy and Advocacy“ presented as a recorded lecture. It begins with 50-minutes of lecture followed by 10-minutes of questions and answers.
Learning Objectives: Upon completion, participants should be able to: • Define advocacy and why it is important • Understand the support for advocacy • Understand attributes of a successful advocate • Understand the general structure of advocacy and health policy • Identify opportunities for becoming involved in advocacy
Instructions: Instructions on how to view the recorded webinar will be sent directly via email upon confirmation of registration. This will include step by step instructions.
The recording of the live webinar is presented in video format with informative slides and narration by the course director David McCollum, MD. Controls for pausing, forwarding and reversing through the presentation are presented at the bottom of the screen.
Before the webinar, participants will be required to submit a pre-test.
Following the webinar, participants will be required to submit a post-test and brief evaluation of the event.
