Description: This talk will touch upon the many facets of the primary clinician-focused career development awards: K08 and K23. It will include not only elements that can help with the drafting of the 13 core pages of the application (Specific Aims, Candidate Information and Goals for Career Development, and Research Strategy), but will also talk about the logistics of compiling the additional 80+ pages that are critical to the success of the application. This topic is targeted to early career researchers who are interested in applying for transitional NIH funding awards, but has general information relevant to any grant writing strategy.
