Description: Every neurologist who is privileged to be involved in neurologic education has a remarkable opportunity that will not only impact the pathways of our residents and students, but also a humbling responsibility that can affect the clinical care of all of our trainees' subsequent patients with neurologic disorders. In this talk, I will provide tips on when, how, and what (and what not) to teach, to provide our highest educational impact on our trainees. This presentation will also provide practical career advice for aspiring clinician educators. Dr. Steven L. Lewis is the recipient of the 2019 A. B. Baker Award for Lifetime Achievement in Neurologic Education Award. Dr. Allan J. Aksamit is the recipient of the 2019 Frank A. Rubino for Excellence in Clinical Neurology Teaching Award. Both awards will be given during this session.
