Description: Work life balance which many feel is a misnomer can feel insurmountable for physicians and health care providers. In our culture of being a service to others we often do not make time for self care. As neurologists, we know well the effects of stress on the brain yet are one of the highest specialities with burn out. This talk aims to provide a framework with which to start to think about how to navigate these challenges. In addition, we will explore current thoughts on alpha brain waves as it pertains to achieving healthy lifestyles.
