Medical Student Symposium: Careers in Neurology

Description: This program is specifically designed for medical students to explore the exciting career opportunities within neurology and network with other students. Welcome and Lunch: Medical students will share a table with a physician to enjoy engaging conversation. Demonstrations: Attendees will visit various neurology demonstrations showcasing carious aspects of neurology diagnosis and treatment. Neurology in Pop Culture: Presenters will use pop culture references to showcase how neurology is portrayed, the science around the condition being depicted will be briefly shared, and a physician will tell an impact story of working with someone who has/had the condition. Physician Round Robin: Students will have to opportunity to meet and speak with physicians who are representatives of various neurology specialties. Points of discussion with the physicians may include information about their specialty, their education and career paths, how they maintain a work-life balance, etc. Mixer: Opportunity for students to network with physicians and their peers.
