Description: | Chronic pain is an epidemic and the opioid crisis has made it difficult for physicians to find ways of treating and managing patients with pain. The natural world offers plant-based options with important analgesic properties. When used appropriately, they can be very effective in minimizing chronic pain. This talk will cover some of the secrets well known to herbalists and botanists; will review evidence that supports use of certain plants for pain; and cover what is understood about the medical use of marijuana, including its physiology and risks. |
