Description: | Through a combined case-based and didactic approach with audience participation faculty will illustrate empiric and evidence-based diagnosis and management strategies for patients presenting with headache in the urgent or inpatient setting. Topics will include migraine, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias, and secondary headaches. Three or four illustrative cases will serve as the backbone of this course, with one faculty member leading each case discussion, but all participating as part of a panel. |
Completion Message: | Participants should be able to discuss the diagnostic approach to patients with headache in the emergency department or hospital and explain the process and rationale for selecting therapy. |
