C192 - Neuromuscular Junction Disorders II: Toxins, Lambert-Eaton Syndrome and Less Common Disorders of Neuromuscular Transmission
Event Time: | Wednesday May 8, 2019 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm |
Topic(s): | Neuromuscular and Clinical Neurophysiology (EMG) |
Director(s): | Laura Tormoehlen MD, FAAN |
Description: | Faculty will provide current perspectives on the diagnosis, pathogenesis, and care of patients with Lambert-Eaton and congenital myasthenic syndromes, as well as toxin-induced NMJ disorders. Case presentations demonstrate a practical approach to identification, evaluation, and management of common and more challenging patients in the clinical setting. This program complements Neuromuscular Junction Disorders I: Myasthenia Gravis, Ocular, and MuSK Myasthenia, but covers independent topics. |
Completion Message: | Participants should be familiar with the diagnosis and management of patients with myasthenia gravis and related disorders; learn to critically select therapies; and be able to distinguish myasthenia gravis, MuSK myasthenia, Lambert-Eaton syndrome, and recognize the less common disorders of neuromuscular transmission. |
