Description: Advances in the acute treamtent of cerebral hemorrhage have improved the prognosis of the most morbid form of stroke, but gaps between evidence and practice remain in this fast-changing field. This session will present crucial evidence for improving the outcome of patients with intracerebral hemorrhage. This program complements Cerebrovascular Disease I: Prevention, Cerebrovascular Disease III: Update on Neuroimaging Modalities and Endovascular Therapies for Acute Ischemic Stroke, and Cerebrovascular Disease IV: Telestroke, but covers independent topics.
Completion Message: Participants will be able to identify predictors of hematoma expansion and optimal interventions to reverse coagulopathy, and the role of prophylactic seizure medications on outcome after intracerebral hemorrhage.
