Description: Using preliminary data from a case series out of Buffalo, New York, we will be discussing the potential of medical cannabis treatment for patients experiencing chronic pain who are recovering from concussion. Analysis of outcome measures will be shared regarding five common factors of concussion (headaches, dizziness, attention/concentration, sleep quality, and mood), and Quality of Life after Brain Injury scores. Insights into certifying patients for medical cannabis--including product route of administration, dosage instructions, and side effect profiles--will be discussed in regards to the emerging state-based systems of registration and treatment.
