ELA Type: The Grand Experiment - Navigating Your Career
Topic(s): Research Methodology, Education, and History
Director(s): Chad Carlson MD
Description: Medical students, residents, and fellows have largely focused on obtaining medical knowledge and, hopefully, getting experience in scholarly research and other activities.  These trainees, and junior faculty members, often struggle finding their niche and defining it within a department while balancing the financial pressures of practice.  This presentation will aim to discuss methods of navigating these challenges and the strategies I was taught (and employed) in my career.
