Description: Patients' experience of their care matters to all clinicians and increasingly to third-party payers. This program will review regulatory aspects that impact reimbursement, factors which bias patient experience outcomes, provider-specific strategies for improvement, and organizational strategies for managing the patient experience.
Completion Message: Participants should be able to understand the impact of HCAHPS, CGCAHPS, and other regulatory measures on reimbursement; identify complexities of care embedded with a practice mix that may bias patient satisfaction outcomes; learn effective strategies for provider-specific improvement; and acquire a basic approach to managing the patient experience at the organizational level.
