Program Description: This program is a webinar “11 Months and Counting: Are You Ready for ICD-10?“ presented live on November 19, 2013 from 12:00-1:30pm ET. It begins with 60 minutes of lecture followed by 30 minutes of questions and answers.
Learning Objectives: Upon completion, participants should be able to: Understand the differences between ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM; Be aware of the mechanics of the ICD-10-CM system and its updates; Evaluate your preparation for ICD-10-CM implementation and if you are on track; Create a training plan for the October 1, 2014 implementation date.
Accreditation: The American Academy of Neurology Institute (AANI) (formerly known as American Academy of Neurology) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Evaluation (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.
American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award™ The AAN/AANI designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.5 credits of AMA PRA Category1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only those hours of credit that they actually spend in the educational activity.
Instructions: Instructions on how to access the webinar will be sent directly via email approximately 24-48 hours prior to the live event. This will include any website and/or dial-in instructions.
The recording of the live webinar is presented in video format with informative slides and narration by the course director Jeffrey R. Buchhalter, MD, FAAN. Controls for pausing, forwarding and reversing through the presentation are presented at the bottom of the screen.
Following the webinar, participants will be required to submit a brief evaluation of the event to obtain CME credits.
